| There is never much snow here in north west england, which is just aswell cos the roads would descend into chaos if there was. They still get plenty ice though. Access to one of the schools i drop kids at was awfully icey this am and the local authority hadn't prepared the road by it, there were cars sliding everywhere and wheels spinning. Luckily the caretaker had a wheelbarrow of salt and grit to assist a few folk. The council must have known the weather was turning bad, and they should have been out all night salting and gritting like the road crews in many scottish areas, thus avoiding danger on roads this morning. Sorry rant over - it makes me so annoyed though |
